Ten Days of Twitter will be running again in December, this time for academic staff.
#ARU10DoT is an online programme to help you master Twitter in 10 minutes a day, over 10 Days. It launches on the 2nd December for academic staff at Anglia Ruskin. The programme will be run through this blog, where I’ll be posting each day. If you haven’t already signed up, you can do so on the Anglia Learning and Teaching website.
Over the next couple of weeks, you’ll be:
- learning the basics of using Twitter, such as setting up an account and sending a tweet,
- understanding the conventions around interacting effectively on Twitter, such as hashtags and RTs,
- building an online network of other professionals and practitioners supporting learning in Higher Education,
- identifying tools for dealing efficiently with the wealth of information which Twitter will bring to you.
We’ll be learning from scratch, so don’t worry, there’s no need to do anything until Day One, when we’ll be setting up a Twitter account! If you’ve already experimented with Twitter, there will still be plenty here to help you enhance your use with tips and hints.
In the meantime, you can find out more about the format of the course and how it works, and also have a look at what we’ll be covering over the Ten Days. If you have any questions, do feel free to post them in the comments here.
I look forward to seeing you here on the blog, and on Twitter next week!
